About

YKMET:Strade is currently in production! I am working full time on it.

In will be a remake, or maybe more accurately, a remix, of Strade's path that I original built for the old game 'Boyfriend to Death'.

While this standalone game is based on the original path from 2016, it will be massively changed and upgraded. The script and gameplay have been entirely rewritten. The framework of the game will be modernized, and the art will be entirely drawn brand new. The purpose of this project is to push my artistic and coding limits, as well as to remaster the original story in a way that I can be proud of.

I do plan to charge for this game, and my current plan for that is 14.99USD [ same price as TPOF ]. I will keep working as hard as I can to make it worth it!

Final Release on Itchio and Steam

Release Date: I can't give an accurate release date yet since I haven't gotten a good grip on how long the art finalization will me. I do expect to be finished at least by Spring 2025.

I'm currently working on the early stages of the art finalization- the backgrounds. I'm also messing around with sound design here and there, composing songs for the game.

<- 37/732 images finalized

<- I've decided to cancel my usual CG gallery in the game in favor of a screenshot gallery that players can fill themselves. This is because there are simply too many images in this game to make a reasonable gallery. I feel that players will have more fun being able to capture any moment that speaks to them personally.

<- I plan to try my best to build a system in which people can create a translation file for my game, and then freely give that out to anyone to plug into their own game. This could allow for seamless fan translations without the need for repackaging and pirating the entire game. I can't guarantee this feature will make it into the final game though, as I have never built anything like it before.

Color Tests

These are the most recent ink/color tests for sprites. These will not be the final sprites, but I am pretty satisfied with the general feel of the ink and color approach- this will likely be indicative of how the final sprites may look.

Preview Screencaps

These screencaps are of the current developmental version of the game. The UI is pretty finalized, but the sprite and background art is obviously just placeholder sketches. All content subject to possibly change in the future.

Planning Vod

This Vod is from the very beginning of the project, so it may not necessarily reflect how development has gone/will go. It's just a sort of 'original game plan' to update the story and art.
